Do y'all remember Spring? You know, that verdant, breezy existence that we all went through before summer came roaring in at us full blast? Ah, yes! Christian and Kathy had basically the quintessential Maryland May day for their wedding, complete with a roaring thunderstorm that rocked us all, but fortunately it was polite enough to wait until we were all indoors.
Anyways, on to the big, beautiful day! We started with a first look at the Under Armour HQ on the harbor.
These two are a breath of fresh air - seriously. They had the calmest, giddiest joy about them the entire day, and it was so easy to see (and photograph!) their happiness.
Even in the face of the Great Trapped In An Elevator Debacle of '18 that resulted in the BCFD coming in, sirens blaring and axes swinging*, they weren't ruffled.
*no axes were actually swung, but I may have encouraged a little play-acting.
After the semi-delayed wedding ceremony (again: see grins of joy from supremely unperturbed couple) we headed over to the American Visionary Arts Museum, where I could barely control my glee at getting to work with such an amazing backdrop. If you've never visited this joint in person, I highly recommend you reconsider your life choices because it is rad to the max.
Remember that gnarly weather I talked about? Yeah, we seriously ran outside in the perfect window of time to grab the Must Have shot in front of the AVAM under the LOVE lights, and boy were we lucky for that! The downpour was so loud, the toasts were paused because it was so deafening on the roof.
But that was no deterrent - the music was moving, and so were all the guests and everyone happily celebrated C+K in to the night. What a fab day! Thanks so much to Christian and Kathy for having me document this magic - congrats, y'all! -MEJ
