Eric + Brieann's Engagement Session || Howard County Conservancy

Ohhhhhh my gooooooodddnesssss. Okay, so, spoiler alert: there is an OWL in this blog post. And LEGOs. And one of the most epic sunsets I've gotten to shoot. No, seriously! But before we get to that, we've got some amazing sunshine and, well, all the giggles you could want. Eric and Brieann brought their A-game for this session, which included more a bunch of awesome props as well as more laughter than I could handle - they literally knocked me on my booty at one point from cracking up so hard.

We started in their neighborhood, in what I can only describe as one of the most charmingly pastoral little community parks I've ever been to. I'm a sucker for running water, especially when there are a multitude of bridges around!

It was only fitting that we were within sight range of the playground when Eric and Brieann whipped out their LEGO selves (and I went hyper-stoked over the fact that I got to arrange them. for a shot. for work. like, this is my job, y'all.)

Then we zipped on over to the Howard County Conservancy, which is where these two cuties will be tying the knot next year. My jaw hit my lap pulling in, I knew immediately I'd have no shortage of space to work with amongst these rolling hills and lush scenery.

I had Eric and Brieann walking away from the camera at one point, and gave them an excited "Stop!" to which they looked at each other and promptly burst in to a Hammer Time dance. I ended up laughing so hard that I fell over (I mean, I was only squatting, but still...) and had to make them redo it all, simply for the sake of having an awesome GIF.

And there were plenty more giggles after that. Like, nonstop. These two are so giddy in love, you can't help but get carried away in it, too.

They gave me the full tour of this beautiful venue, which included meeting Ranger, the resident barred owl who will be making an appearance at their wedding. YOU GUYS. OWLS. AT. WEDDINGS. *geeks out of excitement*

After scoping our feathered friend, we high-tailed it over to the hills for a truly gorgeous sunset.

Seriously, how incredible is that sky!? I loved every second of this session, and I am so excited to capture Eric and Brieann's big day in April of next year. Cheers to a fabulous shoot! -MEJ
