Okay y'all - we got super Maryland for Nick and Kirstina's engagement session. Few things feel more 410 to me than a sultry summer night in our beautiful state's capitol, hitting some seriously notable spots while tourists amble about and the smell of steamed crabs and salt water waft through the air.
First we indulged in some serious golden hour glow, and made good use Kristina's gorgeously floaty emerald dress.
We wandered over to the grounds of the Capitol building, where we were happy to see the state flag fluttering and Black-Eyed Susans abundantly blooming.
Did you know that Annapolis is the oldest state capitol in continuous legislative use? And that four of the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence were Naptown residents?
Less historically important: I totally laid in the street to get a few shots here - and now's the time to give big ups to my awesome assistant Ellie for keeping me from becoming roadkill.
This is the treasury building these two are so sweetly smooching in front of - constructed in 1735 and is the oldest standing goverment structure in Annapolis.
Once the sun started setting, things definitely got a little more steamy - we busted out the lightstands and took to the tiny nooks of the alleys, and then headed off to the Naval Academy Bridge for some dramatic sunset light.
We rounded out the shoot by heading over to the quiet little street that Nick popped the question back in June. It was so incredibly sweet seeing these two back here - you could just feel the love!
Thanks for the fabulously fun session, N + K - I had so much fun with y'all! -MEJ
