I always have a conundrum when writing blogs about weddings. In my head, the dialogue goes something like this:
"AHHH! This was the best day ever!" *writes exactly that* "Wait, but I can't say that. I have to be diplomatic and not pick favorites." *erases everything and attempts to curb over-enthusiasm of joyous events*
Seriously. Every. Single. Time. But today while ruminating on Steph and Paul's fabulous wedding, I realized that every wedding actually is the best day ever. For (at the very, very least) two people in attendance of every wedding, this is it. This is the so aptly named Big Day that brings so many people together to celebrate and commemorate love. It's always so humbling to think that I am not only so close to the action in all of these memories, but that I am the one preserving them to invoke joy for years to come. So, of course I get way hyped and emotional and excited about each and every wedding I shoot! No more mincing words - I'm embracing just how unique and wonderful every wedding is. And here's Steph + Paul's!
It really is the best, especially when groomsmen throw leaves (invited) and acorns (uninvited) at the groom...
...or when there are sweet moments brimming with excited emotions between a group of lovely ladies.
And certainly when the inevitable Wedding Day Oops occurs and everyone handles it with humor and grace. This particularly memorable one was not having the ribbon for a symbolic binding, so a tie got the job done (with lots of giggles) instead.
Honorable mentions: dance-offs, cookie bars, and dramatic lip-syncs to boybands.
