What do you get when you have an every-other-year wait for blooms, a long hike up in to Howard County, and a perfect golden hour? One dreamy first birthday session! After the first planned sunflower field on it's tail end of blooming, a kind stranger pointed a ways up the road to the Miller Farm, where we found peak-perfection.
It was like taking a quick step out of reality and in to a van Gogh painting - so many swirling ochres and aureolins and ambers and golds under a clear blue sky. We were all giddy for the colors and the weather and the amazing scenery.
We were constantly amongst bumblebees and butterflies, happy companions to see buzzing about this gorgeous landscape. I'm glad I got a shot of on in focus, hanging just overhead!
Such a fantastic day, Happy 1st to Henry! -MEJ
