I had an awesome time hanging out with Niki and Laura for their engagement shoot! They're a bit down the shore in Cambridge, and wanted to shoot at some of their favorite local haunts. I'll admit, I had wrongfully had judged it based only on the roadside shopping malls and fast food joints that fly past on the drive east towards the ocean.
Fortunately, my perception of Cambridge has totally changed, thanks to these two lovely ladies leading me around the cobble stone alleys and charming tree-lined streets. Not only is the town full of amazing historic landmarks like some of the first homes in the Underground Railroad, but it was once called home by more than a few famous folks (Annie Oakley, Jay Z, Bea Arthur, and Harriet Tubman, to name just a few).
Not only were they great tour guides, Niki and Laura were fantastic in front of the camera - I think we spent more time laughing than anything else. I've got a whole host of photos of the two goofing off and cracking up, but even more of them loving up on each other and being total sweethearts.
Our final stop on the shoot was at the Choptank Fishing Pier Park, where we wandered about in a spectacular golden hour, and got some fantastic sunset silhouettes.
I am SO excited for these two lovely ladies' wedding in September, I cannot wait! -M.Ella
