phil + jaime || engagement session

First off, let's make one thing clear: dogs are family. Period. I get all sorts of excited when pups get to be included in shoots, and Wynnie and Stella were no exception. Even after I stumbled upon this collection of dogs ruining engagement shoots a few days before, I was so ready to rock and roll with the dogs - seriously, look at those faces!

We started the morning off with a nice stroll around the nearby golf course with the gals.

We got quite a few really cute well-behaved shots with everyone on their best behavior....

...but we also got a great 'ruining a shot moment' - these make me laugh!

We brought Stella and Wynnie back home and decided to do a little exploring down Benton's Pleasure Road.

Talisman was our major hit - it's a vast and beautiful property with a long pine tree lined drive; aka photography goldmine!

I just adore Jaime's freckles, what a bunch of cuties!

After grabbing all those scenic shots at Talisman, we popped in to the entrance of Mount Hope Farm for a few more shots on our way back home.

I love this ironwork, such a great place to nab some ring shots!

There's a little produce stand at the end of the road at the farm that's run on the honor system - so awesome!

Finding holly was a perfectly festive end to this shoot. Oh boy, I am so excited for Maine in August - hooray! -M
